鳥越一輝は2019年、600人強が参加した田川市美術館主催の「英展」にて、3人の審査員が文句なしに鳥越をグランプリとしたことからも証明される美術界が望む逸材です。
アートが薄っぺらとなりつつある昨今、アート本来が持つ重厚さと奥深さを秘めた作品を次々に発表し、話題を投げかけています。
圧倒的な存在感で観るものを魅了する鳥越一輝。国内はもちろん、近年ではアジア、特に台湾にて爆発的な人気を博しています。昨年より、台湾、高雄市が進める高雄市美術館近隣におけるデベロッパー計画にも採用され、コレクションがスタートしたばかりです。
コールタール、石膏、珪藻土、煤、顔料、蜜蝋、アクリル、ペンキ、油絵具、ボンド、モデリングペースト、ニス、ストリングジェルといった様々な素材を操り、重厚なマチエールを作り上げます。それは、心地良さなど、人間の五感さえも超越し、アート本来が持つ偉大さを私たちに蘇らせてくれます。
鳥越の創作に対する願望と鳥越の有り余る想像力は、人間の理性を超越した何かを表現したいという思いとなり、『beyond the stroke』が生まれました。中国語では『超越筆畫』とも呼ばれ始めてもいます。描くときの腕によるストロークーの限界を上回る表現方法を導き出しました。水の勢いや繊細さ、偶然性を活かしながら、その時間と空間を再構築して生み落とされた作品は唯一無二の作品となり、私たちの心に、細胞に深く刻まれます。
鳥越は語ります。「すべての創造作品は太古の昔より人類が魂を込めて作り上げてきた『記憶される記録』だと思っている。」と。彼の絵に触れた時、多くの人々は「人類が発展した時の流れ」を感じるのでしょう。
2022年、当時の美術手帖に「九州派の系譜を感じさせるアーティスト」として取り上げられました。確かに過去に示された国内の前衛美術への尊敬と研究は当然として、近年では九州派と同時代に台湾で起きた活動「東方」・「五月」にも関心が向けられています。過去の偉大な歴史の事象を通して、新たな未来に向けて鳥越一輝の「歴史に楔を打ち込む」という作業は突き進んでいるのかもしれません。
鳥越の描く抽象的表現により、見るものはかつて持っていたであろう呼び起こすべき思い出を取り戻します。そのことは、世界の大海につながるひとつの雫になりたいという、彼の願いを象徴しているのです。

鳥越一輝は、描画の痕跡を残しながら作品を作る抽象表現主義の先人達(アントニー・タピエス、サ イ・トゥオンブリー等)と同じくキャンバスとの対話によって作品を作る。
彼は画面の中で、騒々しさを避ける様に、グレイッシュなカラーを使う。日本の茶室や禅に似た 静かな場所。その中でうっすらとした変化を楽しむ様に、彼がそれまでに経験した絵画の良い記 憶を辿りながら、筆でシンプルに刻み、作品に仕上げていく。
そして、誰もが持っている「いつかあった懐かしい記憶」に共鳴する事を望む。

Kazuki Torigoe is the best talent the art world could hope for.
This is proven by the fact that in 2019, at ”the Ei-ten” organized by the Tagawa City Museum of Art, which was attended by over 600 people, the three jurors unquestionably awarded Torigoe the Grand Prix!
Kazuki Torigoe captivates the audience with his overwhelming presence. In recent years, he has gained explosive popularity not only in Japan but also in Asia, especially in Taiwan. Last year, he was selected by the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for a development project in the vicinity of the Kaohsiung Museum of Art, and has just started his collection. He manipulates various materials such as coal tar, plaster, diatomaceous earth, soot, pigment, beeswax, acrylic, paint, oil paint, bond, modeling paste, varnish, and string gel to create a profound matiere.
His work transcends even the five human senses, such as comfort, and brings back to us the inherent greatness of art.
Torigoe’s desire to create and his abundant imagination have combined to express something that transcends human reason, and “beyond the stroke” was born.
In Chinese, it is also beginning to be called “Transcendental Brush Painting. I have developed a method of expression that transcends the limitations of the stroke of the arm when painting. The works created by reconstructing the time and space while utilizing the momentum, delicacy, and coincidence of water become unique works of art that are deeply engraved in our hearts and cells.
Torigoe said. Torigoe says, “I believe that every work of creation is a ‘record to be remembered’ that has been created by human beings since time immemorial with their souls. He said. When people see his paintings, they will feel the flow of time that has brought about the development of mankind.
In 2022, he was featured in the Bijutsu Techo of the time as “an artist who evokes the genealogy of the Kyushu school.
Certainly, the respect and research for domestic avant-garde art shown in the past is a matter of course, but in recent years, the “Ton-Fan Art Group” and “Fifth Moon Group” that took place in Taiwan in the 1950s, the same period as Kyushu-Ha, have also been attracting attention. The “Ton-Fan Art Group” and the “Fifth Moon Group” were also of interest to Kyushu-Ha in the 1950s.
Through the great historical events of the past, Torigoe Kazuteru’s work of “driving a wedge into history” may be pushing forward toward a new future.
Through the abstract expressions Torigoe depicts, the viewer regains memories he or she may have once had that need to be recalled. This symbolizes his wish to become a drop that connects to the world’s oceans.
