Kazuki Torigoe
鳥越一輝は2019年、600名を超える応募があった田川市美術館主催「英展」において、審査員全員一致でグランプリを受賞し、その才能を決定的に示した。美術界が求める次世代の逸材である。
重厚なマチエールと圧倒的な存在感を持つその作品は、国内にとどまらず、近年では台湾をはじめとするアジア圏でも高い評価を得ている。高雄市における開発プロジェクトへの採用を契機に、コレクションも始動した。コールタール、石膏、珪藻土、煤、顔料、蜜蝋など多様な素材を駆使し、物質性そのものを画面に定着させる。
鳥越の作品は、流行や市場性に回収されがちな現代のアートに対し、本来の力を呼び戻す。そこには、同時代を生きる私たちへの静かな問いがあり、観る者に思考と感覚の往還を促す。強い存在感を放ちながらも威圧的ではなく、むしろ深い余白とやわらかさを内包している。
彼の制作の根底には、「表現を伝えること」以上に「受け取る行為」への意識がある。作品と対峙することで生まれる内的な反応や想起、その往復こそが芸術の本質であり、自己を問い直す契機となる。
こうした探求の中から生まれたのが《beyond the stroke》である。筆触の限界を超え、水の流動や偶然性を取り込みながら、時間と空間を再構築する試みである。中国語圏では「超越筆畫」とも呼ばれ始めている。その表現は唯一無二の像として立ち上がり、観る者の深層に刻まれる。
鳥越は語る。「すべての創造は、人類が魂を込めて残してきた“記憶される記録”である」と。彼の作品に触れるとき、私たちは時間の堆積や人類の営みの痕跡を感覚的に受け取ることになるだろう。
2022年には『美術手帖』において、「九州派の系譜を感じさせる作家」として紹介された。過去の前衛美術への深い敬意と研究を踏まえつつ、鳥越は歴史に新たな楔を打ち込むかのように、自らの表現を推し進めている。
その抽象表現は、観る者の内に眠る記憶を呼び起こし、個の感覚を世界へと接続する。そこには、「世界へとつながる一滴でありたい」という彼の願いが静かに息づいている。

鳥越一輝は、描画の痕跡を残しながら作品を作る抽象表現主義の先人達(アントニー・タピエス、サ イ・トゥオンブリー等)と同じくキャンバスとの対話によって作品を作る。
彼は画面の中で、騒々しさを避ける様に、グレイッシュなカラーを使う。日本の茶室や禅に似た 静かな場所。その中でうっすらとした変化を楽しむ様に、彼がそれまでに経験した絵画の良い記 憶を辿りながら、筆でシンプルに刻み、作品に仕上げていく。
そして、誰もが持っている「いつかあった懐かしい記憶」に共鳴する事を望む。
Kazuki Torigoe first gained major recognition in 2019, when he was unanimously awarded the Grand Prize at the “Ei Exhibition,” organized by the Tagawa Art Museum, among more than 600 applicants. This achievement firmly established him as one of the most promising emerging artists of his generation.
Characterized by a powerful presence and richly layered materiality, his works have attracted increasing attention not only in Japan but also across Asia, particularly in Taiwan. His inclusion in a development project near the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts marked the beginning of institutional and private collections. Utilizing a wide range of materials—including coal tar, plaster, diatomaceous earth, soot, pigments, beeswax, and more—Torigoe constructs surfaces that emphasize the physicality of matter itself.
In contrast to a contemporary art scene often driven by trends and market forces, Torigoe’s work seeks to restore a more essential function of art. His paintings pose quiet yet profound questions to those living in the present, inviting a dialogue between perception and thought. Despite their strong presence, his works are never oppressive; rather, they embody a subtle sense of openness and quietude.
At the core of his practice lies an emphasis not only on expression, but on reception. The act of encountering a work—of sensing, recalling, and reflecting—becomes central. This exchange between artwork and viewer reveals the essence of art, offering a moment to reconsider one’s own existence.
From this exploration emerges his concept “beyond the stroke.” Moving beyond the limits of conventional brushwork, Torigoe incorporates the fluidity and unpredictability of water, reconstructing time and space within the pictorial field. Known in Chinese as 「超越筆畫」, these works take on singular forms that leave a deep impression on the viewer’s consciousness.
Torigoe states: “All creative acts are records imbued with memory, created by humanity since ancient times.” Through his work, one senses the accumulation of time and the traces of human existence.
In 2022, he was featured in Bijutsu Techo as an artist “who evokes the lineage of the Kyushu-ha.” Grounded in a deep respect for historical avant-garde movements, Torigoe continues to push his practice forward, as if driving a wedge into history itself.
Through his abstract language, viewers are prompted to reconnect with memories long forgotten, linking the individual to a larger, shared world. At its core lies his quiet aspiration—to become a single drop that flows into the vast ocean of the world.

鳥越一輝於2019年，在由田川市美術館主辦、超過600名參與者的「英展」中，獲得評審全體一致評選之最高獎項，確立了其卓越的藝術才能，亦被視為當代藝術界備受期待的次世代創作者。
其作品以厚重的肌理與強烈的存在感著稱，近年不僅於日本國內獲得高度評價，在以台灣為中心的亞洲地區亦逐漸受到矚目。隨著作品被納入高雄市相關開發計畫，其收藏亦正式展開。鳥越運用煤焦油、石膏、矽藻土、煤煙、顏料、蜂蠟等多樣材料，將物質本身的質感直接轉化並定著於畫面之中。
在當代藝術逐漸傾向商品化與市場導向的背景下，鳥越的創作試圖喚回藝術原有的力量。其作品蘊含對當代社會的靜謐提問，引導觀者在感知與思考之間反覆往返。雖然具有強烈的存在感，卻不帶壓迫性，反而展現出深層的留白與柔軟的張力。
其創作核心不僅在於「表達」，更在於「被觀看與被感受的過程」。觀者在與作品對峙時所產生的內在反應與記憶的喚起，正是藝術的本質所在，同時也成為重新思考自我的契機。
在這樣的探究之中，誕生了其代表性概念《beyond the stroke》。此一創作試圖超越筆觸的極限，融入水的流動性與偶然性，重新建構時間與空間。於華語圈中亦開始被稱為「超越筆畫」。這些作品以獨一無二的形態生成，深刻銘刻於觀者的感知之中。
鳥越曾言：「所有的創作，都是人類自遠古以來傾注靈魂所留下的『被記憶的記錄』。」當人們與其作品相遇時，往往能感受到時間的積累與人類活動的痕跡。
2022年，他於《美術手帖》中被介紹為「令人聯想到九州派系譜的藝術家」。在對歷史前衛藝術抱持深厚敬意與研究的基礎上，鳥越持續推進自身的創作，如同在歷史之中鑿入新的楔子。
其抽象表現喚醒觀者內在深層的記憶，將個人的感知延伸並連結至更廣闊的世界。其創作之中，蘊含著一種靜謐而堅定的願望——成為通往世界汪洋的一滴水。
