台中藝術底蘊由來已久，自1988年國美館開館，提供民眾多元化欣賞藝術的環境。豐富的藝文活動，合宜的氣候結合良好的都市規劃創造大片自然綠帶，成蔭的草木配合週邊文化商圈，交融成為市民生活場域，讓台中多次被評選為全台宜居城市。
著眼台中優雅、舒緩的獨特城市風格，社團法人中華民國畫廊協會以經營藝術博覽會30年的豐富經驗，自2013年起開辦「ART TAICHUNG 台中藝術博覽會」，邀請國內外品牌畫廊推出優秀藝術家，為中臺灣的民眾帶來視覺藝術饗宴，更用心深耕在地藏家，每年展會皆帶動藝術銷售佳績。台中藝術博覽會已成為畫廊協會與台中市民年年夏日相約見面的交會場域。
植基過去十年烙刻的穩健腳印，第12屆「ART TAICHUNG 2024 台中藝術博覽會」將於7月19至21日假台中日月千禧酒店盛大登場。將聚焦雕塑如何提升城市的美學品味，定位城市精神，為大台中地區及周邊城市的藝文愛好者帶來精彩的藝術體驗，擴大藝術收藏對象，活絡藝術市場，開創中臺灣獨一無二的國際藝文盛事。

Art has been a fundamental essence of Taichung for an extensive period of time. With the inauguration of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in 1988, an environment to appreciate a diverse array of art has since been opened to the general public. Other cultural and art activities have also been actively taking place in the city, with large areas of natural green zones created through fantastic urban planning which also works well with Taichung’s pleasant weather. Cultural commercial areas are interlaced with luscious trees and other vegetation, blending together areas that the city’s residents can enjoy in their everyday lives, as Taichung continues to be selected on several occasions as the most livable city in Taiwan.

Inspired by Taichung’s elegant, leisurely, and unique urban qualities, Taiwan Art Gallery Association (TAGA), which has 31 years of extensive experience in art exposition operations, began the organization of ART TAICHUNG in 2013. Each year, outstanding artists are introduced by galleries in both Taiwan and abroad, providing to the people of Taichung a visual art feast. Further efforts are also exerted in connecting with local collectors, resulting in exceptional sales of artworks each year. ART TAICHUNG is now an art rendezvous anticipated by TAGA and the people of Taichung annually in the season of summer.

Departing from the deep-rooted progress made in the past fives years, the 12th ART TAICHUNG 2023 will take place this year from July 19th to 21st at Millennium Hotel Taichung. The overarching theme of this year is Perceptual Dimensions: Sculptures in the City, which will focus on how to elevate a city’s aesthetic sense and how to redefine a city’s ethos and ideology. By expanding the art collector demographic and invigorating the art market, ART TAICHUNG 2024 aims at creating a distinctive international art event in Taiwan.

芸術は台中の根源的な源である。
1988年には国立台湾美術館が開館し、多様な芸術を鑑賞できる環境が一般に開放されました。
その他の文化芸術活動も盛んに行われており、台中の快適な気候を生かした素晴らしい都市計画により、広大な自然緑地帯が形成されています。
台湾で最も住みやすい都市に何度も選ばれている台中は、文化的な商業エリアと緑豊かな樹木やその他の植物が調和し、市民が日常生活で楽しめるエリアとなっています。

台中の優雅でのんびりとしたユニークな都市特性に触発され、美術博覧会運営で31年の豊富な経験を持つ台湾画廊協会（TAGA）は、2013年にART TAICHUNGの開催を開始しました。
毎年、台湾内外のギャラリーから優れたアーティストが紹介され、台中の人々に視覚芸術の饗宴を提供しています。
また、地元コレクターとの交流にも力を入れており、毎年、非常に多くの作品が販売されています。
ART TAICHUNGは、TAGAと台中市民が毎年夏の季節に待ち望んでいたアート・ランデブーです。

台南応用科技大学美術学部の陸先生のご厚意でDiscovery Artさんのブースから、民族絵画の第一人者Etan Pavavalungさんとともに出展です。
初日、大谷選手のホームランには及びませんが、かなり順調なスタートです！
年間台湾全土で約20のフェアが催されるそうですが、こちらのアートへの思い入れの強さなのか、フェアの厚みと華やかさにはいつも驚かされ、羨ましい限りです。
今回、オープニングセレモニーに参加させてもらいました。芸術を介する繋がりの輪を広げること、それが豊かな社会を創造するのだと言う明確な目的が見える、そんなセレモニーでした。
スタッフ一人一人からその気迫を垣間見ることができました。
ホテルの5フロアを使う大規模なホテルアートフェアです。

I am in Taichung, Taiwan.
Artist Kazuki Torigoe is participating in ART TAICHUNG.
He is exhibiting at Discovery Art’s booth, courtesy of Prof. 陸銘澤 of Tainan University of Applied Science and Technology, together with Etan Pavavalung, a leading artist of folk paintings.
The first day of the fair started off quite well, although it was not quite as good as Otani’s home run!
I am told that about 20 fairs are held throughout Taiwan each year, and I am always surprised and envious of the depth and splendor of the fairs, perhaps because of the strong commitment to art in Taiwan.
This time, I had the opportunity to participate in the opening ceremony. It was a ceremony that clearly showed the purpose of expanding the circle of connections through art, which will create an affluent society.
I could catch a glimpse of the spirit of the event from each and every staff member.
This is a large-scale hotel art fair that occupies five floors of the hotel.

我在台湾台中。
艺术家Kazuki Torigoe正在参加ART TAICHUNG。
在台南应用科技大学艺术系卢教授的赞助下，我和著名民族画家Etan Pavavalung一起在 Discovery Art 的展位上展出。第一天，我们有了一个相当好的开端，虽然还比不上大谷的全垒打！
台湾每年大约举办 20 场博览会，博览会的深度和魅力总是让我感到惊讶和羡慕，也许是因为这里对艺术的执着。这次，我有幸参加了开幕式。开幕式的目的很明确：通过艺术扩大人际关系圈，创造一个繁荣的社会。
从每一位工作人员的身上，我都能窥见活动的精神。
这是一个大型的酒店艺术博览会，占据了酒店的五个楼层。
