Tagami’s uses various materials on paper and canvas, and he uses a rich variety of expressions. He has an expressiveness so unrestricted in diversity that one may be surprised to realize his works are by the same artist; the views is never made to tire of them.
The characteristics typical of Tagami’s works appears to be an outstanding scene of color, adroit workmanship, and a curiosity that never loses interest in things. His capacity to cut off unnecessary elements without regret and simply depict only subjects of interest to him is so impressive. This may be why the joy of creation and an unconstrained lightness can be felt in each and every one of his works. By earnestly devoting himself to artistic production without any concern whatsoever for notable achievements in the art world and poplar option,Tagami surely seems to be leading a truly artist-like lifestyle.
