福岡を拠点に独自の画風を築き上げ、国境を越えて世界中に多くのファンを持つ平松宇造。日本画で用いられる伝統的な顔料を基盤に、他に類を見ない繊細かつ緻密な技術が駆使されている。
即興的に事象を捉えたドローイング、穏やかな色彩とタッチで描かれる花のシリーズ、そして般若心経をテーマとした抽象作品は、特に海外で大きな反響を呼んでいる。西洋美術に親しんだ多くの海外コレクターは、そこに日本特有の「侘び寂び」を見出している。
その結果、海外からのオファーは急増。フォロワーの大半が海外ユーザーでありながら、11万人を超えるフォロワー数を誇り、日本人コンテンポラリーアーティストとしては異例の存在となっている。画家をはじめ、各分野の著名なクリエイターがフォロワーに名を連ね、Vogue Hong Kongにて「今Instagramでフォローすべき世界の7人のアーティスト」にも選出された。
イラストレーターとしてキャリアを積んだ後、美術家へと転身。禅寺での個展開催やアートフェアへの出品、ペインティングパフォーマンスなど多様な表現活動を展開している。Louis Vuitton（日本橋三越店）のリニューアルでは、パリ在住の著名建築家の依頼によりVIPルームのための作品を制作。
さらに2021年には、写真家Nick Knightからのオファーにより、彼が主宰するSHOWstudioに参加し、パリコレクションのメンズを抽象化した作品を発表。同年3月には、台湾のSOKA ART TAINANにて日本人画家による二人展「鏡なか鏡」が開催され、好評を博した。

Fukuoka-based Uzo Hiramatsu has developed a distinctive artistic style and gained a strong global following, transcending national boundaries. Working primarily with traditional Japanese pigments used in Nihonga, his practice is characterized by exceptionally delicate and meticulous techniques that are uniquely his own.
His spontaneous drawings that capture fleeting phenomena, his flower series rendered in gentle colors and soft brushwork, and his abstract works inspired by the Heart Sutra have garnered significant international attention. Viewers accustomed to Western art often find in his work a profound sense of Japanese “wabi-sabi.”
As a result, international offers have increased rapidly. Despite the majority of his followers being based overseas, he has surpassed 110,000 followers—an exceptional figure for a Japanese contemporary artist. His audience includes prominent creators across various disciplines, and he has been featured by Vogue Hong Kong as one of the “7 artists around the world to follow on Instagram.”
After building his career as an illustrator, he transitioned into fine art, presenting his work through exhibitions in Zen temples, art fairs, and live painting performances. He was also commissioned to create a work for the VIP room of Louis Vuitton (Nihombashi Mitsukoshi store), at the request of a Paris-based architect.
In 2021, he was invited by renowned photographer Nick Knight to participate in SHOWstudio, where he produced abstract interpretations of the Paris Men’s Collection. In March of the same year, a two-person exhibition titled “Mirror Within Mirror” was held at SOKA ART TAINAN, receiving critical acclaim.

以福岡為據點，建立獨特畫風並跨越國界、擁有全球廣大粉絲的平松宇造。他以日本畫所使用的傳統顏料為基礎，發展出無可比擬的細膩且精緻的技法。
其即興捕捉事象的素描作品、以柔和色彩與筆觸描繪的花卉系列，以及以《般若心經》為主題的抽象創作，特別在海外引起廣泛回響。熟悉西方藝術的國際收藏家，往往從中感受到日本特有的「侘寂」美學。
因此，來自海外的邀約迅速增加。儘管追隨者多數來自海外，其Instagram粉絲數仍突破11萬人，作為日本當代藝術家實屬罕見。眾多畫家及各領域知名創作者亦名列其追隨者之中，並獲Vogue Hong Kong評選為「Instagram上值得關注的全球7位藝術家」之一。
在累積插畫家經歷之後，他轉向純藝術創作，透過禪寺個展、藝術博覽會參展及現場繪畫表演等多元形式持續發表作品。在Louis Vuitton（日本橋三越店｜東京｜日本）翻新計畫中，亦受居住於巴黎的知名建築師委託，為VIP室創作作品。
